And to think I was worried...

Before Annalise was born, Katana was my child. I loved that cat like he was my own flesh and blood. Then came the baby...I was scared the cats would hate her. For the first 3 months, they were ambivalent. She was just...there and they didn't care. Well starting a week ago, the kitties starting expressing interest. They would sit a bit closer, they didn't flinch when she made a noise.
Suddenly, yesterday, Katana decided that, like Miso did 2 years ago, Annalise had passed the probationary period of quarantine and was now a member of the family. He welcomed her with cuddles.
Upon witnessing this madness, Miso was forced to reexamine her own feelings about this smallish intruder who is so greedy with Mom's lap. Today, progress was made, Miso sat within 3 feet of Annalise. I don't know what convinced her to give it a try. It could have been the comfy fleece blanket courtesy of Tren's mom. It might have been the example set by Katana. Most likely, it was the roasted chicken I had on my Greek salad.

And I just have to mention last night's dinner. For the grand total of $8, I made the most fantastic BBQ chicken pizza. Nearly all organic (not the crust, Pillsbury didn't have organic), and it was incredible.
