double whammy

I guess this will be a two part post. First, I know I am lagging behind, but I'll jump on the bandwagon now. A lot of the blogs I follow have this whole "25 things you don't know about me" business. I know it originated on Facebook but I DELETED mine. So, here I go. (Sorry if you do know these facts, in which case scroll down to the second portion).

1) I am an egg slut. Basically, I love eggs. I have yet to meet an egg I do not love. In fact, I think most things (savory, not sweet) are only improved with the presence of an egg.
2) I love tea. I drink it every single day. Usually Earl or Lady Grey in the morning, Green with Spearmint and Lemon Verbena throughout the day, and maybe a Chamomile at night. The best iced tea I've ever had was at Nabill's (sp) in Homewood, AL. They add mint and it is magical. I'm searching the city for some of Stash's Lemon Ginger.
3) I am drawn to toile, filigree, damask and houndstooth. It's a sick, sick addiction.
4) I've been reading a lot of Middle Eastern literature lately.
5) My mom is my BFF.
6) I'm kind of an eyebrow nazi. I don't know why, they plague me. After seeing Judy's beautiful eyebrows, I don't know that I'll be satisfied with mine until they are also...modified.
7) I had no idea that losing baby weight took so long. I'm trying to be realistic about it, but it's difficult.
8) I have insane dreams. Truly crazy. I dream about tornados a lot, and I'm not even scared of them.
9) I've been meaning to buy athletic shoes for about 2 mos now.
10) I watch a Lifetime Movie almost every day.
11) I am scared to go upstairs alone in my house. There are a variety of reasons why I'm terrified, none of which I will discuss at this moment.
12) Now that I've had a child and she's turned out to be FANTASTIC, I am even more judgemental of people who are idiots with their children.
13) I wear a Glamourmom Nursing tank every single day. I love them.
14) I'm glad asparagus is in season because I'm going to buy some and eat it everyday for a week.
15) I wish I knew how to make an authentic tiramisu.
16) The more patient I become with Annalise, the less patient I am with nearly everyone else.
17) I'd love to go to Russia.
18) She may not know it, but I'm planning a trip to India with my aunt for 2014.
19) I feel really superior when I'm walking through a store or the mall and other mothers have babies in strollers just screaming and Annalise is happy and smiling while riding in her sling.
20) I'm planning on becoming a certified La Leche League leader.
21) I don't block Annalise's view of the TV. (Check out the new Harvard study, tv doesn't affect development).
22) I sometimes dream in French.
23) Rarely is Trendon in my dreams, if he is, he's being cruel.
24) I wish there were more seasons of Buffy...I love that show.
25) I'll admit it, I am ADDICTED to pageant shows. I even watched the god-awful Tyra Banks show just because she had some pageant toddlers on there.

Ok, now that's out of the way.
First off, Trendon is at home, at least until 7pm on Tuesday night. Last night was difficult, Annalise hasn't slept with him in the same room for over a month (neither have I). Needless to say, we had to take a long nap today.
We got a new sling. The Moby is fantastic for younger babies, but Annalise wants to be able to look around and touch things, so we have a traditional sling now. Trendon got a video game....oh joy. Annalise got a new book. "10 Little Ladybugs" it's adorable and she got a sippy cup. I'm going to let her play with it, nothing in it. I refuse to be pressured into giving her anything but breastmilk until she is 6mos old. We were going to get her a highchair today, but the one I want at Target was all out. Maybe next time.
