It's 11pm.
Annalise has been awake for nearly 7 hours.
She's crazed.
Not sick (maybe a little sadistic.)
My left boob is bleeding from a series of scratches she inflicted instead of nursing.
I am at my wits' end.
Tren is fortunate to be in the barracks right now.
I've tried walking with her, shushing, showering, rocking, patting, humming, singing, being quiet, changing her, playing with her, white noise, baby massage, wearing the sling, nursing, nursing while rocking, nursing and shushing etc etc....
What else is there?!?!
Back to square one. We lay down and nurse. Which is what we do EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. And she goes to sleep within 10 mins EVERY SINGLE NIGHT.
Let's hope this works. I can't take her for a drive because Tren has the car, but I sure will load her up in a stroller and go for a walk.

Oh sweetie, I'm sorry that you are having a hard time! I hope that she finally went to bed and that you are okay. Def. take care of the boob and hopefully she is just in a lil funk and will be out of it tomorrow night!
ReplyDeleteI've totally been there. Its hard, I know. But then you'll wakeup in the morning se that cute little face and totally forget about it.....well at least mostly! haha I'm still not so sure that I want another kid to go through all that with again.
ReplyDeleteWe've been there...sometimes they just aren't settled...I always used gas drops, b/c even if he didn't have gas, H liked the taste and the doctor said that they wouldn't hurt him, to try them when he wouldn't settle.....
