Then we headed to downtown Silver Spring to walk around, have lunch, and then pop in Whole Foods so I could get some greek yogurt and honey (it's a sick sad addiction).
We had lunch at McGinty's Irish Pub. All the people who worked there were Irish, the owner was there, too. Regardless, little miss Annalise batted her eyelashes, cooed and smiled at every single Irishman in there. Of course, they ate it up.
The place was incredible. I had the casserole sampler which consisted of a little tiny bowl of lamb stew, beef and Guinness stew, and shepherd's pie (and a little caesar salad). It was AMAZING. Tren had the blackened salmon which was delish. It was just all-around the best restaurant we've ever been to. Oh, and I ordered a fresh fruit bowl for Annalise to munch on. Seeing as how it cost a whopping 1.50, I expected some grapes and maybe some cantaloupe. The Irish are full of surprises. They brought her a huge bowl of blueberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, and mandarin oranges. Yum. Not to mention the little Irish guy who brought it out talked to Annalise for a few minutes, all while patting her head and fixing her little faux-hawk.
I don't mean to harp on this pub, it was just a wonderful surprise.
Tren wants to eat there for his birthday.
Anyway, then we headed down a block to Whole Foods and I got some greek yogurt. Annalise smiled and flirted with everyone she met. What should have been a 5 minute store experience turned into 30mins because Annalise's smile enticed every single person to stop and talk to her.
She's a lucky girl.
She just can't help herself! She loves meeting the people, and who doesn't want to meet irish men? Hehe! I'm glad you all are enjoying it there!
