The Real World: Wheaton, MD

I am a single mom this week. Trendon doesn't get home until 4:45pm everyday, he's got a night class on Mondays and Wednesdays, he had a Mason thing Sunday night and has lodge on Thursday. I think he's off for Veteran's day, so at least we'll see him during the day.

Annalise got a new toy. Generally, I try to encourage non-noisemaking toys. However, she's obsessed with phones. Her old toy phone looks like...well...a toy.

She was not fooled.

So, I got the Target circular in the paper last Saturday and right there amidst the ridiculous ADD-inducing madness, was this perfect little cell phone..on sale...so, I got it. It's a little flip phone that records! It looks like a real phone. So, she's carrying it around, "talking" and "texting" Pierre.

In other news, I think Annalise said "pet cat" Saturday afternoon. We went to this really interesting store in Laurel (a neat town) and there was an ADORABLE black and white cat walking around (named Maximus). I crouched down to pet the kitty and the whole time I was just jabbering away to Annalise about how she can pet the cat but she has to be so gentle. And then I hear "peh-cah? peh-cah?" I was astounded. And then she started following the cat around and every time the cat would settle down somewhere, she'd walk up and lift up her shirt and show him her little boops. What the crap? She's so weird.

AND I hope I can get her new fake sneezes on video. She goes "AHHHHH choo" and sticks out her tongue like it was the biggest sneeze in the history of the world. SO cute.
