The Zoo, Plastic Eggs, Pita Bread

We had a great time at the zoo on Sunday. Annalise was asleep for the first hour, but after that nap, she had a ball.

And on Saturday, we went to an Easter Egg hunt. Annalise picked up several eggs. Unfortunately, they were filled with cheap plastic choking hazards and disgusting candy. It was SUPPOSED to be a hunt for "little kids" meaning under 3. What the crap? Once we returned home, Annalise ended up stepping on one of those cheap hazards. She slipped and cut her foot on the damn thing. Alas, I've digressed, she had a great time picking up the eggs.

And in conclusion, Trendon made some incredible pita bread this weekend. He's got real skill in the kitchen (baking).
I made some chicken salad and we stuffed the pita and took them to the zoo for a picnic on Sunday. I also made some hummus (tip o' the hat to my partially Middle Eastern BFF, Lauren, for introducing me to that delicious magic almost 10 years ago).

Annalise really enjoyed the pita and hummus.

  1. 1) LOVE her hair with the barettes (sp?) and pigtails! too cute!!
    2) Was that panda nursing?
    3) I know what you mean about the stupid eggs, I HATE the candy that comes in them and then to cut her foot, what a crap deal! I wanted to do a Peapie basket for her, but can't figure out how to mail it-- that's why I'm only selling them locally...know it's the thought that counts!

  2. I really want to live next to you, eat hummus w/ your adorable pitas, and go to the zoo w/ you. It is absurd that we do not live w/in walking distance to one another. Hehe.
I'm glad you all had a good time at the zoo though.

I agree w/ Kelley, the hair in pigtails is soo cute!
I almost bought her this cute bow w/ a cupcake on it, but wasn't sure she would wear it.

And speaking of cupcakes, you must do me a favor. There is this place called Georgetown Cupcakes. There are two locations
#1 is 3301 M Street NW ...Washington, DC
    #2 is 4834 Bethesda Ave...Bethesda, MD

You need to go here and please indulge in gorgeous, heavenly cupcakes and then report back to me. It would be a great trip for you all to do one weekend. They are open from 10a-9p mon-sat. and from 12p-6p on sun. I do not think you would be dissapointed.
