Annalise is accomplishing a lot these days. She's learning so many new things: running, feeding herself with a spoon and fork, drinking from a cup (no sippy top), gives a trillion kisses a day, she helps me pick up her toys, carries around the broom like she's sweeping, and she knows several words: mama, dada, mih (milk), mm-hmm (affirmative answer), ke-ey (kitty) she knows and uses the signs for milk, cookie, diaper, and book.
However, I think she is also experiencing some normal and age-appropriate regression. It's hard to get her down for a nap and she doesn't sleep for long when she does finally conk out. She wants to nurse a lot more during the night. It's madness. But at least Trendon gets to sleep well. Bleh. Haha.
Right now she is dancing to some Irish music. I downloaded a Celtic Woman album from itunes and she is just rocking out. I'm waiting for her to bust out in a jig.
She's also been bringing me her coat to put on. I tell her it's bedtime..she brings me her coat. It's time to eat dinner, she'll go grab her coat. She just likes wearing it around the house.
And then last night she emerged from our bedroom with the Halloween candy bucket on her head. She just walked around with it on her head. For the life of me, I don't know why she does it. But it is funny.
Right now she's hiding in her tent with the watering can toy Bella got her for her birthday. She's angry because I refused to play her "hold-me-now-let-me-down-pick-me-up-again" game. There are only so many times you can heft 25lbs.
Oh and she's mastering the art of pretend. She'll act like she's picked something up off the ground and put it in her mouth because she knows I'll jump up and run over to see what she's done. However, she's not that sneaky anymore because she can't help but smile and laugh when she does it. AND she's blowing raspberries on anything she can get her mouth on (especially my chest). Needless to say, Lysol and the Mr. Clean magic eraser and I had a long date the other day with EVERY SINGLE surface within her reach.
silly girl, don't you just eat her up? changes in sleeping patterns-- totally normal..just means she is adjusting into a new schedule....
